Emergency Rental Assistance Program


The COVID Emergency Rental Assistance program for Adams County is coming to an end. Adams County will stop accepting applications for this program on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Submitting an application to the program does not guarantee payment. Adams County will continue to review applications for eligibility and process applications on a first-come, first-served basis until all program funds have been awarded.

To be eligible for this program, you must meet the qualifications of the program:

  • You currently rent an apartment, condo, townhome, or house in the Adams County eligible area, which excludes Aurora.
  • You or your landlord can submit documents verifying that you are behind on rent.
  • You and the others living with you have experienced a financial hardship due to the COVID-19 outbreak/coronavirus pandemic. Please explain the situation in your application on the COVID-19 Impact page.
  • You have not received the maximum amount of assistance for this program.
  • You are at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
  • Your landlord must complete a landlord application and accept payment for rent from this program.
  • Your application must be complete and have all required documents uploaded.
  • You have a household income at or below 80% of the area median income (see below).
